Filed under: weddings — leeleeche @ 6:35 pm

Selena and Steve had a fabulous wedding at the Palos Verdes Golf Club last month. All of the stars were aligned. A gorgeous day, beautiful details, a really great couple and one of my favorite wedding venues all added up to wedding perfection.

I want to give a shout out to Selena and Steve’s coordinator, Jen Peterson of Jen Peterson Events. She did an awesome job and was great to work with!

Ann and Mike – A La Venta Wedding October 12, 2008

Filed under: weddings — leeleeche @ 4:09 am

Last Sunday was the perfect storm of wedding photography for me. Take a gorgeous and genuine couple, add in a perfect October day and finish it off with my absolute favorite venue and you have one amazing wedding.

Ann and Mike are so easy going, Ann has an Aussie accent that is to die for and Mike choose the funniest “oversized asian” to be his best man (this is funny to me because I happen to be married to another oversized half asian man). Here are some of my faves:

The details of this wedding were amazing. The bride has exquisite taste.

I love the light that pours into the bride’s cottage at La Venta

Former KChePhoto bride Erin fullfiling her duties

Look at this stunning bride

These girls were so fun

Mike, a very handsome groom

The guys were great as well

Mike was a trying hard to keep his composure as he saw his beautiful bride for the first time.

Yeah, this is why I love La Venta

I gave the wedding party so much grief to get this shot. Thanks for being awesome you guys!!! you actually pulled it off in the first frame!

They are so cute!

One of my faves of the day

I love how spontaneous these two are

Their first dance was elegant and romantic

I love this one taken by my awesome second shooter Danny

Love this one to end the day

Thanks to Erin and Kevin

and Anna and Simon for referring me. That is the biggest compliment of all and I really appreciate it

Have a great time down under Ann and Mike!

My Sister’s Wedding! September 29, 2008

Filed under: weddings — leeleeche @ 5:38 pm

Ok, my sister got married 3 weeks ago and she and her new husband Chris have been back from their honeymoon for over a week and they still have not seen any pictures but hey, I was not the main photographer so I thought I could take a breather on this one.

I didn’t shoot my sister’s wedding becuase I wanted to be a guest and enjoy the day. I spent 15 minutes with her and my camera and the rest of my day was truly fabulous! I know that her photographer did an awesome job so I was relaxed and enjoyed myself. Here are a few that I did shoot:

This is one of Chris and his daughter Hannah, who is now my niece. Chris is a great person, exactly the type of man I would hope my sister would marry. Hannah is also a great person and the pair have an awesome relationship. I am so happy to have these two as part of my family.

Barb’s daughter Jenna helped her get ready, I remember the day she was born like it was yesterday. Boy do I feel old!

The kchephoto shot

Doesn’t she look fabulous?

The one and only shot I took at the ceremony. The little cutey is Skylar, my grand-niece, did I mention how old I feel?

I wish the best for Barb and Chris, it was great wedding and a great start to your lives together.

Jessica and Keith – A Wine Country Wedding August 1, 2008

Filed under: weddings — leeleeche @ 2:27 am

Keith is the brother of Krissi who had one of my favorite weddings of 2007. This year, it is fitting that Jessica and Keith would have one of my favorite weddings of 2008. The wedding was at the Hans Fahden Winery in Calistoga, California. It was intimate and breathtaking. I had so many faves, here are just a few:

A little toast before the dressing ritual. This got the water works going for Jessica’s mom.

I love details like these, a note that Jessica had delivered to Keith right before the ceremony.

Jessica is a classic beauty

Keith was a very handsome groom

I could have shot Bridals of this gorgeous girl all day!

One of my favorite parts of the venue and a perfect moment as Dad is about to give his girl away.

The ceremony site was simply stunning!!!

There were so many beautiful, heart felt and funny moments during the ceremony.

Love this real moment

This might be my fave of the day

The coolest reception I have ever shot, yes it’s a cave!!!

I love the cake series

These two were in perfect sync

I feel so blessed to have been able to shoot both Krissi and Keith’s weddings, I now feel like a part of the family, and I would not have it any other way!!!

Thanks guys, have a fabulous honeymoon!

Mary and Jim – A Palos Verdes Wedding May 9, 2008

Filed under: weddings — leeleeche @ 3:01 pm

Mary and Jim had an awesome wedding last Saturday in Palos Verdes. This couple is very laid back and were up for anything. I could not have asked for better subjects. Here are some faves.

Mary’s Fabulous dress, we’ll call her Maggie. She was a great partner to the shoes, we’ll call them Stuart

A six pence handed down from bride to bride for years. I love this kind of stuff!

The bling

Mom and maids watching the dressing ritual

Mary was such a grogeous bride. Her energy just makes her even more beautiful

Jim was a very handsome groom. I see many grooms that look very uncomfortable in a tux. Jim was so at ease and comfortable. He has an elegance about him.

More handsome men

Even more handsome men

Delightful (although one reluctant) flower girls

A perfect moment, the church was charming

Taking amazing portraits of these two was an effortless task

The reception took place at Mary’s parents’ house in Lunada bay and was coordinated by my personal favortie coordinator, Kathy Recchia of Save the Date Events. I could not have asked for a more perfect combination

Can’t you just feel the love

Mary has a huge, fun family which always makes for a great party. The brothers have a tradition of writing and singing a song to the couple at each family wedding. Let me tell you, it did not dissappoint!

We loved your wedding Mary and Jim!!! Best of luck to you both!

Rebecca and Kevin – December 29th 2007 January 4, 2008

Filed under: weddings — leeleeche @ 6:50 am

Rebecca and Kevin are the first of 3 couples referred by Krissi and JT, one of my favorite couples of the year! They had a fabulous event in Santa Barbara on Saturday coordinated byt the talented Cari Izaguirre of All Occasions Event Planning. I call it an event instead of a wedding because they actually got married a year ago in St Thomas but celebrated with their friends and family with a vow renewal. It was a relaxed and festive event at the University Club, a charming venue.

Here are a few of my faves:

A bit of an antique look fit the venue, Rebecca was stunning

Paul caught this one of the light pouring in the balcony window, love!

A fun one with the fisheye

What a gorgeous bride!

And a very handsome groom, Kevin was a big ham, he mastered the soap opera actor pose

They are sooo cute together

The ceremony was in front of the fireplace, all decked out for Christmas

Love this one of Kevin cutting a rug with mom!

Last but not least, an awesome moment in front of the Christmas Tree

Thanks guys, we really enjoyed your wedding!
