Ann and Mike - Engagement July 14, 2008

Ann and Mike booked me for their wedding a while ago but I had not met them until Saturday. I was delighted to find them fun, easy going and gorgeous! This session was effortless for me. We had so much fun it didn’t even feel like I was working! I am really looking forward to their October wedding at my favorite Venue, La Venta Inn in Palos Verdes.

Lindsey and Jesse - Engagement March 21, 2008

Lindsey and Jesse are a great couple. They are easy going, fun and gorgeous! I had a great time shooting these two!

We started out high above the Pepperdine campus, where Jesse goes to school

Lindsey goes to school in Texas and was visiting for spring break

We were shooting at a 911 memorial at the tippy top of Pepperdine, overlooking the Pacific, it was breathtaking

Next, we headed over to El Matador beach. A spot that Jesse suggested, it rocked!

They are getting married in December in their home town

I think this is my fave. I could not decide if I liked it better in color or the split tone

Sue and Jay - Engagement December 1, 2007

Sue and Jay both attended UCLA and it is also one of my favorite places to shoot. You can imagine how thrilled I was that they wanted to do their engagement pics there.

Alison and Sam - Engagement November 28, 2007

Alison and Sam are getting married in June. I am really looking forward to their wedding after shooting their engagement, they really had fun with it!

We met in Santa Monica at that perfect time of day

They are really down to earth people, very comfortable in their flip flops

Barb, Chris, Hannah and Milo - Engagement/Family Portraits May 7, 2007

This was one of the most exciting engagements for me to shoot because the bride to be is my big sister!!!

I am so happy for her, she found a great guy with a great daughter and they are very happy together. They are planning on getting married next spring, I am sure it will be a fabulous event.

We started out at my favorite engagement spot, Malaga Cove Plaza

Afiya and Damian - Engagement April 9, 2007

Afiya and Damian have a destination wedding planned for next May and wanted some pictures for their website. It was great working with them. They really had fun with the session and were really great sports even though the weather was less than ideal.

Erika and Neal - Engagement March 19, 2007

Erika and Neal are one of those couples that I liked instantly. As soon as I met them I was hoping to get the chance to work with them. They are very real and easy going. After shooting their engagement session on Saturday, I am really looking forward to their wedding in September.

We started at Malaga Cove Plaza which is fitting since they will be honeymooning at a place called Malaga

We headed down to Redondo Beach which is Neal’s old stomping ground. The weather was not ideal but it was perfect for drawing in the sand.

Erika mentioned that her objective for the session was to get some pictures where both of their eyes were open. I am hoping this one still gets her approval.

Anna and Simon PV and Redondo Beach March 5, 2007

Anna and Simon just booked me last week and wanted to get some images for their ’save the date’ cards. We had a great time at Malaga cove plaza and Redondo Beach. The light was great and the couple was fun!

Wendy and RJ - Downtown Engagement February 11, 2007

RJ and Wendy wanted to do their engagement session downtown. I love shooting in new environments so I was all for it! They know the city well and took me to the most perfect places to get great pictures.

We started off right next to the building where they used to live. You can see it in the upper right corner

The urban landscape was a perfect backdrop

We spent most of our time at the Walt Disney Concert Hall - an amazing piece of architecture

This was across the street in a makeshift skate park. We had to move quickly to avoid being skated over

No urban engagement would be complete without a ‘hidden alley with great light’ shot

I really enjoyed spending time with this couple and I am looking forwar to their wedding in less than a month. I am positive that we will get fabulous pictures. The couple is up for anything and very easy on the eyes.

Olga and Dorian - Engagement February 5, 2007

We had a perfect day for Olga and Dorian’s engagement session. This couple was really fun and needed no direction at all. They love the camera and obviously really enjoy each other’s company so taking great pictures of them was effortless on my part.

Olga had a really cute name for this pose, ‘eighth grade pose’ or something like that. It brought me right back

I kept thinking we were done and the sunset kept getting better. I just could not stop shooting!
