Mary and Jim - A Palos Verdes Wedding May 9, 2008

Filed under: weddings — leeleeche @ 3:01 pm

Mary and Jim had an awesome wedding last Saturday in Palos Verdes. This couple is very laid back and were up for anything. I could not have asked for better subjects. Here are some faves.

Mary’s Fabulous dress, we’ll call her Maggie. She was a great partner to the shoes, we’ll call them Stuart

A six pence handed down from bride to bride for years. I love this kind of stuff!

The bling

Mom and maids watching the dressing ritual

Mary was such a grogeous bride. Her energy just makes her even more beautiful

Jim was a very handsome groom. I see many grooms that look very uncomfortable in a tux. Jim was so at ease and comfortable. He has an elegance about him.

More handsome men

Even more handsome men

Delightful (although one reluctant) flower girls

A perfect moment, the church was charming

Married

Taking amazing portraits of these two was an effortless task

The reception took place at Mary’s parents’ house in Lunada bay and was coordinated by my personal favortie coordinator, Kathy Recchia of Save the Date Events. I could not have asked for a more perfect combination

Can’t you just feel the love

Mary has a huge, fun family which always makes for a great party. The brothers have a tradition of writing and singing a song to the couple at each family wedding. Let me tell you, it did not dissappoint!

We loved your wedding Mary and Jim!!! Best of luck to you both!

Computer issues!!! May 6, 2008

Filed under: personal — leeleeche @ 1:59 am

Hi Everyone,

I have been in business for about 4 years now and for the first time I have bad computer news to report. My beloved 3.67 year old Viao has bit the dust :( I love her so, used her feverishly and finally she gave up the fight!!! I will miss you old girl!

I only have blackberry access to e-mail right now and will not be able to process anything for a few days, so if you are expecting a blog post, sorry (Yes, that means you Mary and Jim, who’s fabulous wedding I shot on Saturday)!

Don’t worry, all of your cute little files are sleeping away on my external hard drive, safe and sound.

Thanks for understanding everyone. Feel free to call me if you need to schedule a shoot or have questions about an album. 310.346.9384

Go Speed Racer! April 12, 2008

Filed under: personal — leeleeche @ 11:47 pm

Jandro’s Grandmother has been training him to be a bike racer. He does a few laps around the block every day. She tells me how many and how well he is doing and that he has to wear certain shoes…I’m thinking, “oh, that’s nice”

Well, today I took him on his laps. OMG!!! He is fast. I actually had to come back and change into running shoes so I could keep up with him. He is only 2 and he is riding a tricycle! Imagine how he will be when he has his Carbon steed all tricked out with 10 speed Durace! Of course by then it will probably be 13 speed!

Here is a camera phone pic for your enjoyment!

I love my boy!

OK, OK, I posted this a few days ago. Everyone replied “Oh yeah, it is great but there is only one picture of Jandro”. Here are a few more. These are his year collages from which the bike collage was inspired. I will continue to do them every year until he runs out of wall space.

This is the original post:

I hardly ever post anything personal, much to the dismay of my family. There is just no time! This weekend I took a few minutes to do something I have wanted to do for months. Jandro got his first bike for Christmas, you can only imagine what a big deal it was for us. We had just as much fun as he did on his maiden voyage. I decided right then that I wanted something to hang on the wall to remember the occasion. Here it is. It is 12″x12″ and will be delivered by Wednesday. I can’t wait to get it, frame it and hang it up!!!

Enjoy!

I had a great time shooting with this family. They are really wonderful people not to mention very easy on the eyes.

Now, how often do you actaully get one of these where everyone was actaully looking at the camera?

Lindsey and Jesse - Engagement March 21, 2008

Lindsey and Jesse are a great couple. They are easy going, fun and gorgeous! I had a great time shooting these two!

We started out high above the Pepperdine campus, where Jesse goes to school

Lindsey goes to school in Texas and was visiting for spring break

We were shooting at a 911 memorial at the tippy top of Pepperdine, overlooking the Pacific, it was breathtaking

Next, we headed over to El Matador beach. A spot that Jesse suggested, it rocked!

Only 1 more session left for March! March 14, 2008

Filed under: portraits — leeleeche @ 7:36 pm

I never imagined when officially launched my portrait business last June that I would be writing this! I never really knew how much I would love doing portraits until I started doing them semi-regularly. I love them!!! Babies, Families, Seniors, even engagements. I am thrilled to announce that I have only 1 more session available for the month of March. If you were thinking about booking a session, give me a call now or you may have to wait until April.

In December I decided to launch my very own dedicated portrait site. It is in the works and I hope to have it ready in the next month or so. Of course there will be a big launch celebration including specials and a mailing, please drop me a note if you would like to be added to the mailing list. kristine@kchephoto.com

Of course I am still doing weddings, they were my first love in photography and will remain a large part of my business. Now you will have someone to do your family portraits when your rugrats arrive!

Hi Everyone! We are back and in our new house! We are still not completely unpacked. I am guessing that will take another month or so since we are sooo busy but at least the computers are back on line and we are shipping orders and doing album designs again!

Cameron Rose, our first baby plan customer just celebrated her 1 year birthday!!! In honor, I am posting the story board that we did of her. It is 10×20 and framed and it looks awesome!! We will be doing a 1 year shoot soon and of course I will post. Until then, enjoy!!!
